EFOG- EBCOG: All you need to know

Application process

 Candidates preparing for the Part 1 examination can find comprehensive guidelines for online application submission on the EBCOG website months prior to the exam date. It is important to note that only electronic submissions are accepted; paper applications will not be considered. The first come, first served policy applies to the acceptance of applications. Candidates must confirm that the application was received on time.

EBCOG will not accept applications that are incomplete. Therefore, candidates must make sure that their application is completed accurately and that the necessary supporting documentation has been sent with it.

Check your eligibility

• Primary medical degree: Aspiring candidates must hold a primary medical degree and be qualified medical doctors.
• Registration: Candidates must be listed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in their own country.
• Training program completion: Candidates are eligible to sit for the Part 1 Examination after completing at least three years in their training program. Part 2 Examination can be attempted six months before completion of their training program as recognized by their national Obstetrics and Gynecology Society/Authorities.
• Examination timeline: Those eligible for the Part 2 Examination should take it within a period of three years. Failure to pass Part 2 within this timeframe will require candidates to re-sit Part 1.
• Good standing certification: Candidates will be required to provide evidence of their good standing from their Medical Council (Regulatory Medical Body), Employing Authority, or Head of Department.
• Clinical experience and training: Evidence of clinical experience and post-graduate training since graduation must be provided by candidates.
• Professional conduct: Candidates must certify that they are not currently suspended or removed from medical practice by the Medical Council/Hospital or any other body. They must also confirm that they are not involved in any disciplinary procedure related to their clinical practice anywhere in the world or provide details about any pending procedures.
• Technical requirements: Candidates must possess a compatible laptop (mobile laptop, PC, or MacBook), which they need to take with them to the examination.
